It’s very easy for us to do backup in iTunes, but it’s not that smooth for us to download iPhone data from iTunes backup sometimes, because it won’t allow us to download them selectively, so we’ll have to download the whole folder. So here, in order to solve this issue, we’ll show you some other ways to download WeChat chat history from iTunes backup. Now follow below steps.
Find WeChat Chat History on your PC Folder
When we do backup on iCould, iPhone data will be stored on iCloud server. But when we backup iPhone data on iTunes, those files will be stored on our PC. So we just need to find the folder where iTunes files are stored will be ok.
Now after knowing this, you can check below folder path to find your WeChat chat history:
For Windows: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
For Mac ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
Download WeChat Chat History from iTunes with iRefone
Another way for us to download WeChat chat history from iTunes is using third-party iOS data recovery software iRefone, which can extract iPhone data from iTunes and iCloud backup selectively, and it allows us to preview them before restoring.

Step 3. Wait a few seconds for scanning, then you can preview and choose WeChat messages you need, tap on “Recover to PC”.
